Offshore wind scour protection
Rock installation is the most common way to prevent scouring around maritime structures such as offshore platforms and rigs. The subsea excavator is ideal for seabed preparation including relocation of boulders or large and heavy volumes of mass. Levelling and compressing the mass will improve the stability of the seabed while offering scour protection. Compared to a WROV, the Scanmachine can work in strong currents. The Scanmachine may also be used to relocate rocks in areas not accessible for a rock dumper. The operation is highly controlled through the monitoring system, which supports precision work and accurate results, especially when working in close proximity to subsea assets, or if the work task requires leveling/ shape work.
